Overview
The tech industry has seen many developers come and go, but none quite like our very own Almog. Having joined us at the tender age of 21, when most are still trying to figure out what coding language is even for them, With a contagious enthusiasm that resulted in more lines of code than anyone could count (and a surprising amount of sick days - 25 to be exact), Almog has left a mark on our team that will be remembered long after the final commit.
Background
Born and raised in the city of lights - Rishon Letziyon, with roots tracing back to Georgia (the country, not the state), Almog brought a unique flavor to our team (although unfortunately not that of Khachapuri).
Glory Days in the Help Center
When Almog got his first assignment in the Answers team, his enthusiasm was through the roof. So much so that he worked the entire weekend just to finish it. We were both impressed and concerned - someone might need to explain the concept of work-life balance.
My first broken build:
From that point on, he was unstoppable. He became the Yoshi and Node migration master for FED Core, Anseleration orchestrator, worked on key features like Article Comments, and even tackled the infamous Customer Portal - an experience that still haunts him to this day. But hey, someone had to do it!
Among his long list of achievements, he can also proudly claim to be the DraftJS Master (and has a Medium post brewing on composite entities, just you wait, or maybe not since its brewing for years now...). He inherited the widget (which we can still find everywhere in Wix), worked on Multibrand Widgets and the Widget mobile SDK (Android and iOS). And let’s not forget about the Chatbot Builder - though it sadly got deprecated in the end, it was an exciting ride while it lasted.
There was the Cache Font Proxy task (the less said, the better), and the much-adored Merge Tickets Flow, which unfortunately no one at Wix adopted (whomp whomp). He also dipped his toes into integration work as an "Integration Apprentice," contributing to the Slack, Jira and Freshdesk exporter during the Answers migration. But of course, none of this would be complete without mentioning the almighty GA Bot—brought to life by the dynamic duo of Avshalom and Almog, a.k.a. Avshalmog.
Outside the Keyboard
While his code was tight, Almog wasn’t satisfied with just mastering the keyboard - he also mastered the gym. He swapped cigars and whisky for protein shakes and deadlifts, turning cheat days into chest days. If code reviews were a workout, he’d bench-press the whole sprint.
When he wasn’t crushing weights, he was playing his piano like a maestro, proving that even developers can master more than just code. Need a bug fix or a Beethoven piece? Almog had you covered.
Oh, and because running code, lifting weights, and playing piano wasn’t enough, he decided to pursue a Computer Science degree. Juggling school, work, and life like a pro—because why not?
Love life
After a few years of desirable bachelor life, Almog met his lovely girlfriend Shahar. They study together, eat and travel. Recently moved in to a cosy apartment in Ramat Gan, and happily live together.

As Almog moves on to his next adventure, we can’t help but feel a little nostalgic for the days filled with Moshe (Not the shrimp) stories, bodybuilding tips, asking if there are מכות, complaining about neck pain and Yoshi, glorifying Slash as the greatest guitar player ever, and ditching CC fun day for a test. We’ll miss him dearly, but we know that whatever he does next, he’ll excel!
Good luck, Almog! and Or Leib is a ערס
The best
